As you might know, I’m down to my final countdown
waiting for my own little one to arrive.
I know literally about 15 other women who are due within two months of me.
Sign of economic times?? 🙂
Anyway, because I’ll be taking SO many newborn pictures in the very near future,
I’ve been spending recent times getting ready for these sessions.
My wonderful husband built me a portable hardwood floor and a portable backdrop stand.
I’ve been busy making props for the newborns–headbands for girls and little ties for the guys.
And I commissioned a friend of mine, Anna from That’s Sew Anna!
to make me some adorable little hats and other crocheted / knitted things.
That’s a lot of new stuff.
So I needed some practice to try it all out to make sure everything was working before the sessions towards the end of summer.
Many, many thanks to her mom and dad for letting me borrow their precious 4 day old daughter to try out all of my new things!
We got some great practice, I learned a lot (like “make sure mom brings an extra change of clothes too…oops!),
and even though little Jillian was too tiny for all of the new hats and the most awake 4 day old I’ve eve met,
I think we got a lot of great shots.
So without further adieu, it’s my pleasure to introduce you to little Jillian.
Enjoy your preview!
