I am still on maternity leave.
Mostly. : )
Some things can’t wait.
Like newborn pictures for friends’ new baby.
It was quite an adventure trying to get these pictures in
with two newborns on their own schedules
and three other little kids trapped inside
(thanks, stinking heat advisory!!)
I don’t recommend it! : )
But in all the chaos, we finally got this hungry little boy to sleep
long enough for some good pictures.
Enjoy the preview of Dean’s session!
And on another note, this is the third session I’ve had with this family,
and I must say that there is nothing more complimentary than returning clients!
It’s been a pleasure to watch their little family grow!!

Lani-you have such a talent photographing newborns. It really takes a special skill, and I’m so impressed with the different ideas you come up with each time you photograph them. Great job!
thanks for your kind words, katie! and for recognizing that photographing newborns is a LOT harder than it looks with all those calm, beautiful, sleeping baby pictures… 🙂 they are by far the most challenging sessions!! and hopefully one day the weather will be nice enough to do some baby pictures outdoors again… 🙂
lani – great job!! i love love love the one with the tie. such a little man already.
i have such respect for people that photograph newborns – nicely done!!
Lani – your pics always make me smile …you are so creative! Little Dean looked like he totally cooperated – I’m not buying your story 🙂
Baby feet are some of God’s greatest works of art — beautiful photo!
Love the tie!! Such a cute print and positioning. I kinda want to have a boy. (In a few years). Hugz for the new parents!
