Words cannot even begin to tell you how much I love these two people.
Long story short, I can tell you that they’ve changed my life
and I am so excited to have the chance to share some of my talents with them
as they have blessed me with so many of theirs.
Don and Jane are the very people who introduced me to essential oils.
They introduced us to Thieves Oil that we put on our feet to keep us from getting colds and the flu.
Then they introduced me to oils to use to fight the pain in my back when I was nursing and unable to take medications.
It’s been four years since we started using oils, and we are so very thankful to know Don and Jane!
Please take some time to learn more about what they do by visiting their website, http://claircarecenter.com
This session is what Don wanted for himself for Christmas–
memories with his beautiful wife and pups, Violet and Libby, who are certainly a part of their family!
They found out recently that Libby is sick and might not make it much longer,
and I thought it was a wonderful idea for them to capture some memories with her!
We met the weekend before Christmas. It was a beautiful day, but sooo soppy.
Thankfully I remembered to wear my rain boots this time! : )
The saturated ground limited us, but my chairs came to the rescue
giving us a little more freedom to get pictures with the puppies.
The week before Christmas just happens to be my anniversary.
Now normally I wouldn’t schedule sessions on a weekend my husband and I are children-free (thanks mom and dad!),
but I felt like this was a pretty special exception for some pretty special people in my life.
And that meant that my husband actually got to come along on my session
to see me work and play the part of my lovely…er…manly…assistant.
It was fun to give him a sneak peek into what I do because he’s normally at home watching our kids while I work!
On a side note, this particular session was located at a park in Waterloo, IL,
and happened to be very near a winery, which, being childless and all, my husband and I decided to hit after the session was over.
Not only did we enjoy some delicious samples of great wine with great service,
but we also got to buy some very reasonably priced farm fresh egg including a few turkey eggs!
I’m pretty sure it made our whole weekend, reminding us of old times when we lived near Napa Valley, before children, of course.
Next time you’re in the Waterloo area you’ll have to check them out! http://www.schorrlakevineyard.net
Anyway…
Thank you, Don and Jane, for trusting me with your memories.
I hope you enjoy showing off your beautiful family pictures to the rest of your family and friends!
May these pictures bless you as you have blessed me!

As I reviewed the pictures with Jane last evening I could not help but recall a word that means a lot but is rarely used, “Treasurable Moments”. That is what the session was like, opening a treasure you have waited a lifetime for and now it is my turn to experience these rich gifts of, passion, love, memories, moments that are so brief and yet memorable that they capture what your life is all about. Jane and I are very blessed and some would say highly favored but all I know for sure is that I got to experience treasure. Thanks Lani!
Aw, thanks, Don! It was my pleasure!!
these turned out great!
