I just knew this was going to be an awesome session from the first time I heard Marissa tell me what she wanted to do for her session.
We headed out to her friend’s house where she had received riding lessons.

For those of you who have been following my work for a while,
you might remember that I once had a senior session for a girl who wanted her pet snake in the pictures.
I sort of have an aversion to all reptiles except turtles,
so you can imagine I was a little *excited* that Marissa also wanted pictures with Newton, her pet bearded dragon.
I said he could come as long as I didn’t have to touch him. ha! : )
Well Newton was literally hanging out with Marissa’s mom for the entire session and crawling all over her shirt looking for a warm place to hide.
Poor guy was out in the rain with us.
Would you believe that by the end of our session I was picking him up without even flinching?
Maybe I’m over my fear of lizards? Â ; )
Marissa, I hope you love your pictures even more than I do.
You are such a beautiful girl on the inside and out,
and I pray God’s richest blessings to you as you begin a new chapter in your life!
