Nick and Jess Got Married! {Saint Louis Wedding Photographer}

Early in January Jess’ mom contacted me about doing a wedding on short notice in May
for her daughter who was going to be deployed in June.
Since there wasn’t much time for planning,
it was going to be a quaint wedding at a bed and breakfast
with a long celebration over an entire weekend.
Ooh, and since my husband is also their pastor,
we were both going to get to help with the wedding!

Sounds awesome, right?!

As usual, the best laid plans of mice and men…
and Jess’ deployment got moved up.
So they cancelled the wedding.

Bummer.

And then Nick and Jess decided they wanted to just elope.

But Mom and Dad didn’t want to miss their only daughter’s wedding…

So a “last minute” four month-off wedding became a two-week-off wedding.
I have got to give big props to Jess’ mom, Cami.
She pulled this entire wedding together in two weeks.

TWO WEEKS, PEOPLE!

I’m really not quite sure how her blood pressure didn’t explode.
She had to find a venue. A cake. A dress. Invitations. Bulletins. Decorations. Everything.
All. by. herself.
because her daughter did not come home for her last leave until three days before the wedding.

Well, to make a much longer story a bit shorter,
by God’s good grace, everything came together.
And I think you will agree it was a beautiful, quaint, romantic little country wedding.

Nick and Jess, congratulations! and welcome to the club! : )
I hope you are able to savor the few days you have left together before Jess leaves.
Jess, we will be praying for your safety and your marriage while you are away.
It was an honor to be invited to capture your wedding memories for you,
and I pray that they will bring you joy and lots of smiles while you are apart
and when you’re finally together again.

And now, folks, enjoy the pictures!
