Mini-Sessions

How does a mini-session differ from a full session?

A regular photo session is at least ninety minutes in length and at the location of your choice. Mini-sessions are conducted at a specific location and on a specific date and are twenty minutes long. Unlike regular sessions, there are no wardrobe changes allowed at mini-sessions due to time constraints. Full sessions result in 30-40 final edited images, whereas mini-sessions have between 5-10 final images. Full session fees do not include any products or prints, but mini-session fees include 25 two-sided beautiful custom designed flat Christmas cards–the perfect way to show off your beautiful new pictures! Another benefit of mini-sessions is that there is no order minimum should you choose to order additional prints or products. There is a $300 order minimum for regular sessions. Mini-sessions don’t include client consultations before the session date like my regular sessions do, but if you have any questions about your wardrobe or if you need help figuring out the final goals for your image, I’m more than happy to help you out!

PLEASE NOTE: BECAUSE SESSIONS ARE BACK-TO-BACK, IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU ARRIVE EARLY TO YOUR SESSION! SESSIONS WILL START AND END PROMPTLY TO RESPECT THE TIME OF ALL OF MY CLIENTS. Because of the nature of mini-sessions, one mini-session cannot be booked for multiple families.

May I book multiple mini-sessions together?
You may book more than one session in a row; however, there is no cost break, and it might be a better idea to book a full session for your family. Let’s chat about it and determine what’s best for you.

What is the cost of a mini-session?
The cost of a twenty minute mini-session is $150. The entire session fee is due at the time of booking with completed client forms.

How do I sign up for a mini-session?
Please call me at 314.703.2565 or email me at info@LMTPhotography.com

What if it rains or the weather is bad on the day of our mini-session?
In case of cancellation, the mini-sessions will be rescheduled for the next day in the afternoon. When booking your session, please make sure that you are able to attend both the planned photo session date and the back up date.

Can I get a map to the mini-session?
If you need directions to Bee Tree Park, please let me know and I will send you directions from your house.

What should we wear?
Select clothing that’s poppy, vibrant and fun! Bright, deep, and rich colors are complimentary on every complexion and look beautiful in photographs. These colors photograph better than black and white!

Avoid dressing the family in matching “uniforms”. Coordinated looks for families create a much more pleasing photograph. Try choosing a unifying color mixed with neutrals in various ways to mix things up but still give your family continuity.

Use patterns, textures and layers to add visual interest. Textured fabrics, such as denim, cable knits, linen, and corduroy, photograph beautifully. Add interest to your photos by layering clothes and adding fun accessories like scarves, jewelry, hair accessories, or hats.
Most importantly, you’ll want to be casual and comfortable in your attire. Make sure each member of the family tries on their outfit before the day of the shoot. Clothing that is too big will appear baggy and sloppy in photos. Clothing that is undersized will bunch or gape. Everyone should be in clothes that feel and look good on the day of the shoot. (And for the boys, please avoid stark white socks and shoes! They stick out in pictures!)

How do I view and purchase my photos?
At the time of your booking, we will schedule your proofing/ordering session during the week following the session. This will take place on a week night and be held at my office. At your mini-session I will provide you with a handout to help you plan for your order. During the proofing/ordering session, you will see a slideshow of your images from the mini-session, and then I will take your order. If you need more time, an online viewing gallery with logoed pictures will be available for 24 hours after your session.

How many images will I get to choose from?
You will have between 5 and 10 images to choose from. Numbers may vary as each session is different. Please keep in mind that I will select only the best images in an effort to make your selections easier.
