I am so thankful for all of my blog followers (you know who you are!). So to say thanks, I am giving away a $50 gift certificate to lmtphotography. Just leave a comment on this post with your name. I will announce the winner on Monday, July 13th after I get back from a wedding this weekend. And thanks for visiting my blog! 🙂
Jessica grew up with my little sister, and even though she moved away, I was happy to be able to capture her senior pictures for her yesterday. It was supposed to be a perfect cloudy day for pictures. But instead we got beautiful sunshine and lots of wind. Great weather for being outside, but not perfect for pictures. So we avoided the shadows and waited out the wind when we could. The wind did play to our favor in a couple of shots, though, by adding a little body or flair to her hair. There were so many good pictures to choose from the 623 we took! I’m having a hard time narrowing it down! I’m so excited to get these previews to you, K family! The proofs should be coming in about a week. Enjoy!
Last week I donated a lot of time capturing precious moments at our church’s VBS. It was quite the task! I had just about an hour and a half to take pictures at about 20 different sites, over 400 kids, and over 200 volunteers. Whew! No wonder I was suffering from heat exhaustion by the end of the week! (the 95+ degree weather didn’t help at all either…) Here are a very few of my favorite shots from the week. It was so hard to choose!
This week my hubby was away on a mission trip. So rather than waiting unpatiently for him at home, I packed our bags and bravely took the two kiddos up to Wisconsin to visit my best friend and her family and my in-laws as well. They all live along the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan, so of course I had to get some pictures in while we were there!
these are my kiddos at 2 1/2 years and 3 months
Sometimes it’s the little things that matter. This mom almost didn’t order this picture because she was bothered that she forgot to change pony tails to match the color of a last minute dress change. The original ponytail was orange. But it just didn’t quite match her beautiful red dress. So with some photoshop magic, viola! Instant change. 🙂 And because she spoke up about her desires, I was able to fix the picture so she could order one she would have missed out on. If it’s important to you, it’s important to me!
