LMTPhotography bio picture
  • Welcome!

    I fell in love with photography when I was teaching in China. My eyes were opened to a world of beautiful faces and incredible art as I roamed the streets and markets of Shanghai. I took pictures of every new and exciting detail and scene to help me remember my time there when I returned home.

    Because photography is the memory of our lives. Photographs never change, even when the people in them do. My family lost my brother-in-law at a young age shortly after I returned from China. All we have left of him are the memories through our pictures. I wish we had more pictures of all of us together to show my kids the love and laughs we shared. Losing him motivated me to be a better memory creator for my family, and it fuels my passion for creating beautiful, timeless images that capture smiles and spirit.

    My goal as a photographer is to make this easy for you. I'm a mom of 5. I get that things need to be simplified in life. Let me give you pictures you'll love and an experience you'll enjoy. Now is the right time to schedule your session! Contact me--let's do this for you!

Wade & Lora are Getting Married!! {Saint Louis Engagement and Wedding Photographer}

I am super excited that my baby sister is engaged and getting married next summer!
Over Thanksgiving break, I got to spend a cold and windy afternoon with Lora and Wade
to capture some pictures for them to use to promote their wedding before the invitations are made.

I’m not going to lie. It was a miserable day.
It was supposed to be 50 and sunny.
But instead, the windchill was in the 30s and the wind just hurt your skin.

So we improvised and started off with some pictures inside a barn to give at least a little protection from the elements.
We did finally make our way outside, and they did a great job braving the weather.
(and doesn’t it just figure that the weather was much nicer the next day?…)
Special thanks to my other sister, Shana, for being my lovely assistant,
and for my Aunt Margaret for letting us take pictures at her farm!

Wade, I couldn’t be happier that we’re adding you to the family next summer!
Congratulations to you both!!
Enjoy sharing your pictures with friends and family!!

Staas Family {Saint Louis Family Photographer}

I have had the joy of working with this family when there were just 2.
Then when there were 3.
And now there are 4!

This session was actually from way back in March,
but I’m just now able to share them with you all.
It was such a blessing that we were able to get these pictures in at just this time
because since these pictures were taken, one of the puppies has passed.
What a joy to have some sweet memories of little Sophia with her first puppies!

Thank you, Staas Family, for trusting me with your family memories again.
It has been a joy to watch your family grow!

Welcome to the World, Baby Bryce! {Saint Louis Newborn Photographer}

It really wasn’t all that long ago that I took pictures for Bryce’s big brother.
Check them out here.

Now Mr. Landen is a big brother and
walking…make that running…all around!
(Thank God for fast shutter speeds to capture quick littles!)
: )

Baby Bryce was about the most chill baby I’ve ever photographed.
So content, and so easy to work with awake or asleep.
(Read-one of my few accident-less newborn sessions!)

Thanks, E Family, for welcoming me back to capture memories for your beautiful family again!
I hope these pictures bless you with smiles for years to come!!

Molly’s Senior Session {Waterloo and Saint Louis Senior Photographer}

I just loved Molly’s session.
We had another beautiful fall day in Forest Park.
Molly’s sister did a fabulous job with her hair and makeup.
And can you see that Molly totally rocked the serious pictures?!
(that isn’t as easy as it sounds!)

Molly, I’m so glad you chose me to capture these memories of your senior year in high school.
It has been a joy getting to know you and your family,
and I hope you enjoy showing off your gorgeous images!

Tess’s Senior Session {Saint Louis, Waterloo Senior Photographer} » LMTPhotography - […] just last year when Tess’ family first came to see me for her sister’s senior pictures. (You can check those out here.) I am so honored when clients come back! Tess wanted pictures at the same place her sister had them […]

Emily’s Senior Session {Columbia and Saint Louis Senior Photographer}

I can never say enough how awesome it is when clients come back.
Best. Compliment. Ever. : )
I first met Emily’s family for a family mini-session in 2011,
then I got to see them again for Emily’s brother’s senior session in 2012.
Fast forward a few years and it’s Emily’s turn!

We had the most gorgeous fall day for Emily’s session.
In some small way, I am glad that the Cards didn’t make it to the World Series
because her session probably would have been a much different experience
fighting off downtown traffic and trying to find parking.

Emily, you are a beautiful lady inside and out,
and I am so honored to be able to capture this time in your life for you and your family.
Enjoy showing off your beautiful pictures!!
