LMTPhotography bio picture
  • Welcome!

I fell in love with photography when I was teaching in China. My eyes were opened to a world of beautiful faces and incredible art as I roamed the streets and markets of Shanghai. I took pictures of every new and exciting detail and scene to help me remember my time there when I returned home.

Photography is the memory of our lives. Photographs never change, even when the people in them do. My family lost my brother-in-law at a young age shortly after I returned from China. All we have left of him are the memories through our pictures. I wish we had more pictures of all of us together to show my kids the love and laughs we shared. Losing him motivated me to be a better memory creator for my family, and it fuels my passion for creating beautiful, timeless images that capture smiles and spirit.

My goal as a photographer is to make this easy for you. I'm a mom of 5. I get that things need to be simplified in life. Let me give you pictures you'll love and an experience you'll enjoy. Now is the right time to schedule your session! Contact me--let's do this for you!

Sydney’s Senior Session {Saint Louis Senior Photographer}

I am blessed to call Sydney’s family my neighbors.
And I’m talking the good kind of neighbors who take care of your kitties while you’re out of town.
And last year, we were out of town for almost a month while my mother-in-law was living her final days,
and they just loved on us and took care of things so we didn’t have to worry about being away.
I wanted to love back on them for the way they loved us,
so we snuck a few extra family pictures into the beginning of her session.
We are so thankful they are part of our lives!

Sydney is just the sweetest, most responsible senior I think I’ve ever met.
She’s the kind of girl I trust with my kids and with a key to my house!
It was my pleasure and my joy to be able to take her senior pictures,
and I hope she feels even just a little bit of how much we appreciate her!

Sydney, I hope you enjoy showing off your beautiful pictures to your family and friends!

Santoscoy/Ostergaard Family Session {Saint Louis Family Photographer}

Four years ago I met Christen and her husband Mike at a marriage retreat
where I got to take their pictures.
For many of those couples, it’s the first professional picture they have of themselves
since their wedding pictures.
Not with Mike and Christen, though, because Christen is her family’s photographer and memory keeper.
So while this session was a sweet gift to her parents,
this session was also a chance for Miss Christen to get out from behind the camera,
to be IN the pictures,
and to let go of the stress of taking her own pictures.

And I’m so honored that she chose me to take over the job of memory maker for a day!

Santoscoy/Ostergaard family, I hope you enjoy these pictures,
and I hope they bless you with smiles for years to come!

Brendan’s Senior Session {Saint Louis and Columbia Senior Photographer}

A few years ago I had the privilege of meeting Brendan’s family when I took his sister’s senior pictures.
(You can see those here if you’d like.)

I was thrilled to pieces when Brendan’s mom called me to take his senior pictures
because there is truly no greater compliment to a photographer than when a client comes back!

For Brendan’s session we headed downtown to give his session an urban feel.
We were thankful our session didn’t interfere with the World Series.
(Missed it by a day…whew!…or parking would have been a nightmare!)

Brendan plays hockey for his school, so we definitely wanted to incorporate that into his pictures.
It was a fun session to plan out, and certainly one I won’t be soon forgetting.
I don’t know how my pregnant nose missed the smell (the wind must have been blowing it away from me),
but I nearly walked right into a dead (and quite stiff) raccoon. Ick!
Brendan politely pointed out what I was nearly walking into and we all had a good laugh. : )
I would also like to say thanks to Brendan’s brother Garrett for stepping up and being my assistant.

Brendan, I hope you enjoy showing off your senior pictures to friends and family.
And P family, I hope these bless you for years to come! : )

Hannah’s Senior Session {Saint Louis Senior Photographer}

Four years ago I got to take Miss Hannah’s confirmation pictures at her church,
and I am honored that her mom remembered me for her senior pictures as well!

Hannah was blessed with the most absolutely gorgeous day for her senior pictures.
It was perfectly lightly overcast and still relatively warm out.
With the exception that the waterfall was turned off earlier than it usually is,
we couldn’t have asked for anything more!

Did I mention that while we were shooting in front of the grass fields
we accidentally made several background appearances in a News Channel 5 segment?
They were interviewing the photographer next to us, and all we heard was the phrase,
“Did you know that today is…”
We assumed Columbus Day (because it was), but no.
It was “Bald and Free Day,” and they were interviewing both the photographer
and the husband of the family in the pictures who were both bald.
You can see Hannah’s mom in the blue dress and me in a black sweater about a minute into the video,
but poor Hannah missed her TV debut due to the large size of my reflector.
Sorry, Hannah! 🙂
Click here for the link if you’re interested.

Hannah, I thoroughly enjoyed my time working with you before and during your session.
You are beautiful inside and out!
Blessings to you as you finish up your senior year and truly reflect on where God is calling you to go next year.
Enjoy sharing your pictures with friends and family!

A Fresh Look for Fresh Pasture Farms {Saint Louis Business Photography)

I was absolutely thrilled when my friend Sandy of Fresh Pasture Farms approached me
to take pictures around their farm to vamp up their web presence.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned about myself in this business, it’s that I thrive in situations
where I have a lot of creative reign with some specific end goals in mind,
whether that’s an album, new website layouts, card designs, or wall galleries.
So I was naturally excited to get to work!

Let me tell you a little bit about Fresh Pasture Farms.
FPF is a family-owned farm run by Norm and Sandy and their son Wade and his wife Jaime
with help from their daughter Wendy, her husband Walter, and their sweet little Sophia.
They offers pasture-raised poultry, eggs and pork,
just 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis.

They also have seasonal produce grown in their gardens,
honey and beeswax,
and other wholesome nutritious foods available for your family.
Guys, I’m talking animals raised on grass, without hormones, antibiotics, and
organic seed and plants with no commercial fertilizers, pesticides or insecticides.
Food you can confidently feed your family!!

Sandy is also a holistic health coach and an
expert on using essential oils for health and wellbeing,
one of my oils mentors in fact!
Go check out their websites, and then check em out in a few weeks
after all their new pictures make an appearance!

www.freshhealthyliving.com

Thank you, Sutter family, for trusting me with the face of your business!
It was an honor and a joy to work with you!

And now, enjoy some pictures from around the farm!

On a side note, thanks to my wonderful assistant Katelynn for trudging through the muddy fields with me.
You rock! : )
Also, just in case you’re wondering, there’s nothing wrong with the
white chickens who don’t quite have all their feathers.
Those baby chicks grow up fast, and they eventually loose their fluffy yellow covering as
they get their mature feathers.
